Shipping and Returns for Rusty Union Moto Goods

Shipping

We ship to Australia and New Zealand via Sendle for all our shipping needs. If you are outside the OCEANIC region please do not use this site, your order will be refunded and any currency variations that affect your refund will not be our responsibility. The Sendle freight cost is auto-calculated on weight and destination and not by Rusty Union Moto. After you add items to your Rusty Union Moto shopping cart and enter your address at checkout you will receive a shipping quotation prior to purchase. Track parcels from http://www.try.sendle.com/tracking with the tracking number on your Rusty Union Moto shipping notification.

Sendle delivers to metropolitan areas within 3-5 business days. Rural areas should take no more than 5 business days.

If no-one is present to receive delivery, a card will be left notifying of a pick- up location (usually the local post office). If the package is not collected from the pick-up location within two weeks then it is returned to Rusty Union Moto. If this happens then re-sending the package to you is at your expense which is inclusive of incorrectly supplied addresses. As such, we highly recommend that the parcel be addressed to a residence or workplace where a receiver is always available. To prevent the scenario where a parcel is sent back to us unclaimed it is absolutely imperative to please keep a very close eye on your tracking number and to contact us sales@rustyunion.com.au as soon as possible if the transit of your parcel exceeds the quoted times, you notice anything unusual or the tracking number does not work.

We cannot be held liable if Sendle fails to deliver or your purchase is damaged during transit. Please be aware that postal services can and will be slower during holiday and sale seasons, which is entirely out of our control. As such, we strongly advise orders be placed much earlier than our shipping quotations during these seasons.

Returns

(1)  What items can be returned or exchanged?

Returns and exchanges for stock merchandise, less shipping and handling fees are accepted for new items in unused condition that are returned in new, saleable condition with all tags and packaging. If such items are found to be defective or faulty upon arrival to you, such items may be exchanged for a replacement, repair or a refund. Merchandise that is used, damaged, scratched, missing packaging will NOT be accepted by Rusty Union Moto for a return under any circumstances and will be returned to the customer at the customers' expense. In all cases, a return must NOT be made without gaining a RA (Return Authorisation) from us.

(2)  In what time period are returns and exchanges accepted?

Returns and exchanges must be received by Rusty Union Moto, within 30 days of the completion of the transaction. Absolutely no returns or exchanges are accepted for any reason after 30 days.

(3)  Is shipping and handling refundable?

No, shipping and handling fees are not refundable unless the item sent is proven defective when received or wrongly provided by us.

(4)  Is there a restocking fee for returns or exchanges?

A minimum 15% restocking fee applies to all returns and exchanges of merchandise in new, unused, factory-sealed condition. If the item being exchanged is deemed originally defective/ faulty by Rusty Union Moto, the restocking fee is waived if the original item is being replaced with an identical new item.

(5) What is the return policy for items that arrive defective, or faulty?

We check all items prior to shipping to ensure the highest quality however if an item we ship arrives defective or faulty in anyway, under Australian Consumer Law we offer customers the choice of repair, replacement or refund. Replacements will be sent free of charge via the same shipping method that was chosen for the original order. We will require the return of the damaged or defective item prior to a replacement or refund taking place. Please contact us for an RA.

(6) I received an item I did not order. How do I return this item?

If we ship you a different item from what you ordered, we will immediately ship the correct replacement item as a separate order without further shipping costs via the same shipping method that was chosen for the original order and provide a credit for return postage costs. Please contact us for an RA.

(7) How do I arrange for a return of an item to Rusty Union Moto?

If we have approved the return of an item under the conditions discussed above, we will provide you with a Return Authorisation (RA) and a return delivery address prior to sending the return package. Returns received without prior notification (and an RA number) will be refused. Please package the item such that all products will be protected from damage during shipping ensuring you have enclosed a brief outline on the reason for the return and your name and address.

(8) Other notes on returns.

The customer will be responsible for any additional shipping charges incurred by the refusal of delivery, whether intentional or not. This includes shipments marked as refused caused by the recipient not picking up the item from the carrier’s facility in a timely manner. Customers placing orders with Rusty Union Moto agree to the terms of the policies as set on this site.
